This was mentioned in another post but I thought it important to make a seperate issue.

I am interested to find a iPod integration solution for the bose system.

I understand the US have kits that do this, however they utilise the SAT button that we do not have.

Text appears on the factory LED display (not the LCD screen for those with the nav option).

define integration. the unit has a stacker port on the rear of it so emulation is a possibility.

I'll look into it. I need a ipod or two to fiddle with ( I don't own or want one.) to verify compatiblity

Thanks for the input jaik, however I want full control over the iPod, I don't want to be playing around whilst on the move. At any rate I cannot do the aforementioned mod that you suggested, as I do not have, nore want the factory nav.

ok for me to land that properly is $ 350 - 400 . I know of the piece you mean and I can get it locally. its the market for it that will kill the idea. if I can find something that is in the $2-300 range that works I'll do it.

I'll keep digging.

jaik,

thats what I have been doing when people ask for an Ipod. much easier.

    • And the rules change with time ...but speaking to the premise you raise here, some of us old farts will remember seeing every police motorbike with a rubber rear mudflap extension, fitted to the end of the rear mudguard. This was due to an ADR that required the rear mudguard to extend lower than the rear axle (iirc 15 degrees lower as measured at the axle center line)...it was changed in '89 updates, but basically before that date, any road going motorbike was technically 'illegal' (unroadworthy) ...the whole area is a real prickly pear... 😃
