RB25DET with a GT35R,

Car is fitted with a PowerFC and an FC Edit,

Problem is at 1.4bat im maxing the Q45 MAF, need to be able to support another 100wkw with my new build up,

I see a lot of people talking about options (with keeping the PFC) like running dual filters, ectr but nothing cut and dry.

Has anyone tried cutting the sensor out of the MAF and fitting it into a 100mm pipe? (wont be in the middle though) or using a cost effective MAP sensor converter or somthing thats not going to cost huge amounts of $$$ yet will support higher air flow?

Thanks

a few options come to mind

relocate the Q45 circuit to after intercooler pipe work and see if it helps (might not)

run twin q45's and use a piggyback inline device (safc will work) to average the two into a single afm signal

run a twin afm ecu and run twin afms

there were mentions and rumors of a batch of q45's that are near or in some cases have less resolution than the z32 it could be one of these

You still have a GT35 on there?

It shouldnt max out a Q45

I ran 24psi/GT30 and over 350rwkw with a lowly Z32 without issue as far as i know.

Ive actualy maxed it with a 3076R .82 at 370wkw at 1.65bar, previously maxed a z32 on the same setup at 1.45bar.

Its now a 35R and I plan to run a lot of boost on the new motor and want to sort it

just get another ecu that uses map sensor instead of afm, otherwise u will be chasing tails over and over, not that pfc are crap but i would have had enough at z32 maxing out and now thinking of running dual afm, no chance, use the new microtech, for what pfc's are worth now you could easily change to a microtech, and nearly anyone can tune them.

got an issue somewhere.... R33 4dr T78 410rwkw PFC and Z32 no dramas......

410rwkw on a single Z32?

even at 300-320wkw on the SR20's ive done I get close maxing Z32's... how the hell do you get 410wkw out of one?

Maybe this south african air is to dence

I've seen 360rwkw on an SR single z32 no problems with more resolution to go.

The rumor of Q45 afms having smaller resolution then Z32 I think is most likely true.

At any rate can you get the PFC to run twin Z32's ?

Oii, maybe I should stop buying intercoolers with holes in them or somthing...

Clearly im doing somthing backwards because I have NEVER been able to get that much out of them! but I know for a fact that the Q45 im running now lets me run higher boost than the Z32 I had on, and that was all I changed, now from 1/2 way threw 2nd gear im running 5.1v to the finnish line in a semi pathetic 11.5 1/4 @210kph with a terrible 2.1sec 60ft (yep our local track is terrible)...

ehh back to the drawing boards.

microtech would be my last choice in a long list of ECU's.....

run a autronic or motec with map sensor will support any power figure you throw at it

dont run microtech you may as well plug a game boy (run rotors well but)

a mate has haltec e11 in stagea with gt35r which runs it pretty good

and for how much you could sell rb25 pfc for you mite get a e11 for around the same price

Agree, the run rotor's well but I have had drama with them on piston cars, especialy with coil packs.

The Q45 I have on my shelf which was in the car a few weeks ago is 22680-61U00 A36-000-P60 3803R
