S13 With Rb25

hey ppl

i can get a rb25det from a mate off mine cheap. the thing is i know its been done b4 but i am concidering the s13 rb25 conversion.

i have heard and read different stories but i wanna know facts lol,

has anyone done the conversion????

wat has to be done?????

so far all i have heard is that its a direct bolt up with a r32 front crossmember and r32 gear box mount, and all that has to be done after that is exhaust and tailshalf has to be modified,

also just say i was to take my s13 and the 33 to a workshop that would do it ruffly wat price would it be,

im just looking for ruff figures at the moment but i really would like to do the convertion

r32 mount brackets and mounts, r32 xmember skyline front pipe and cat bolts to s13 rear .... quite simple. i do looms to so you can plug it str8 into S13... if you get stuck.

a friend of mine has just done the conversion and im picking up 2 25s on monday to do 2 of them.

cefiro, laurel or r32 x member, r32 mounts. im going to use an rb20 box first up and see how i go. that way i can retain my CA speed sensor and CA tailshaft.

hopefully the 20 box will last a while!!

i have a mate that is doing me the plug and play looms aswell.

make sure you have a good radiator and a 14" and 12" thermo on the front of the radiator.

im also putting a HKS 2535 and microtech lt12s on mine at the same time.

i already have the rest of the support mods like oil coolers fmic fuel pumps etc.

^^^ engine fan is safest, if you must use thermos get this controller it is by far the best unit for the job. iused a pivot one and it was shit as was the davies craig abortion.

best thermos to use are FLEX-A-LITE as they are the perfect size. added a pic below and the part number is 210 for the black twins.
