Turbo Timer Recommendations

Just had my old one fail. Was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a good one? My old one was a pivot turbo timer. Not after anything fancy just something that cant be incorporated into the alarm and will work well. Did a quick search couldn't really find anything on the subject.

My old one seems to be accepting inputs but is not sending any info.

I agree, don't bother, I had a blitz one that worked well but ended up taking it out.

unless your absolutely fanging it for the last few minutes of your drive, you really dont need to let your car run for more than 10-20 seconds when u stop. Save the money and put it towards something useful. Seriously, by the time u park, wind up windows, turn off stereo, open door, get bags out of back seat, etc, u can just reach in, pull the keys out and it will be fine.

Hmm will have to have a think about it then, as I do like the convience factor, but you guys do raise some good points, idk.

Convience? What about your diff, gearbox and what ever else. Turbo's aint the only thing that should be cooled down. If your fanging it up until u get to your destination then more fool you

i highly doubt anyone is going to overheat their diff and box oil on the streets

hey mate i would recomend a bes turbo timer available throw rocket industurie B.E.S turbo timers are great i have one in my skyline and i fit them in all my customers cars and mining equipment and i have had 2 faulty units out of about 100 so yeah b.e.s or boogard they are all the same

CJ ive got one of those basic Pivot all-in-one turbo timer copies (Racing boy, Super Mini/Baby Timers etc.), what exactly is your problem with it?

It looks like quite an old pivot turbo timer. Electrician looked at it free of charge, basically stated, the turbo timers accepting inputs from the car, but it is not outputting any signal.

Basically I have the timer lit up on the turbo timer when the cars running, when I turn the car off it just shuts down. Doesn't keep the car running. At the moment I'm not in a hurry to replace it, had to many bills, and may not even put one back in.

He's full of crap, its giving no outputs because you havent given it an input signal on the handbrake wire.

I had the same problem, took me ages to wire the thing in because I didnt have any installation instructions.

If yours just plugs into the ignition harness, make sure the spare black wire is earthed (if you have a variable resistor pod on the back) or on the ECU ground wire (if theres no resistor on the back). If it doesnt plug into the harness, then wire it.

Connect the spare brown wire to the handbrake switch or just earth it (this is why yours isnt working) o/wise it wont time down and it will just switch off.

If your car has the resistor on back, run engine at 3500-4000rpm for a few minutes in full auto mode, if the timer doesnt go up, rotate the resistor one increment and try again until it does.

TT's are just really,really simple plc/gate circuits. Very hard for them to die in such a nice happy environment

looks sleek and simple. counts a/f ratio

if u have a good alarm with 3 point, having a TT shouldnt affect the security.
