just wondering peoples opinions on both,i plan to rebuild my rb25 next year with some good internals,i have a highflow turbo on my car at the moment!just tossing up to keep the current turbo,which could quite easily get 350hp at the wheels or save a bit more and get a bigger turbo and put a custom manifold and a external gate on it!just want peoples opinions on it!

good point!but i think both have advantages,externals are better for boost control and internals are good because you dont need to modify anything major!!depends if this highflow turbo lasts,which i think it will but you never know.

There is a good tech report on Internal Vs External wastegates on the latest Ignition DVD that comes with the latest High Performance Imports mag.

Obviously if you are looking at a bigger huffer with a external gate then you will end up with more power... and if you have the internals to go the distance then why not... who's going to say no to more power!?!?!?
