Well again it was an awesome day..

apologies to not making the 630 sat morning convoy..my phone's speaker just died so couldnt hear alarm, messages, craig calling..etc..

woke up at 7 and bolted down to shep, thanks to mav and bec for getting me all reged and scruitineered

thanks to all the ladies and gents who run/official/cook for the event to make it what it is despite being stuck out in the heat!

some quick memories from the day:

group2's struggle with one course - i think we went through about 5-6 cars before someone got it right..

scott chucking my camera on his roof, and coming to me and saying how cool the video was going to be...then to check it and find they didnt push REC. haha.

jeff's audi S4..that thing sounded awesome.

finally seeing big red.. sounding tuff and looking the goods...

Big thank you to the organisers again, another very smooth and professional event.

Personally I found a couple of the afternoon courses a bit tricky to remember with the heat and lack of concentration but had a great time none the less.

Semi comps certainly make a huge difference which enabled me to put down some respectable times on the Long Wang. Was also good to try the skid pan with all the rubber on which made for some quite interesting sessions.

Last night was big and still feeling off from it! Was a shame not to see so many people at Taco Bills as usual and well done to Dan, Jenna and Zee for still coming to the restaurant before the drive home.

Big thank you again for another tops weekend to all involved :nyaanyaa:

wow what can i say, Another great weekend and yes a big thank you to all that helped run the day cos it does not happen with out you..

thanks so much for a awsome weekend

vids..(man youtube butchers vids quality....)

Adz mounted in-car..

Sure does, there's no footage of anyone mounting adz in his car... all I see is Adz driving like a girly man.

Thanks to all the people who make this event work so well.

It was an interesting Deca with a few different elements to contend with this time, the two biggest being the sun and all those damn flies.. It was clear to see the effect it was having on everyones ability to remember where to go. It will be interesting to see how many, if any, did every event perfectly.

Good fun none the less!

Bring on next year.

Another DECA Championship over and a tightly contested battle for Champion honours.

Congratulations to Chris and Andrew for putting it a massive effort again this year to organise such a well presented event schedule. Thanks to Carsales for sponsoring the entire Championship and special thanks go to all the volunteers who helped out this year and making DECA what it is. Without your help, there is no chance it could ever run as smoothly as it has.

Personally, I had a ball! Managed to avoid any solid objects and the car held together nicely. Long Wang was a bit of a disappointment for me as I screwed up in the basketball court BOTH times but the Short Wang was heaps of fun as usual. Skidpan and Battles were ace as usual and I think at last check, I may have even won one of the events! <Fingers Crossed> Not sure if the battle courses were hard to remember due to the heat of simple exhaustion but they certainly were challenging.

Thanks to whoever let me whore their passenger seat through the day but special thanks to Handbags (Thanks for lending me your helmet Juz ; )for letting me shotgun his 1st Long/Short Wang runs. Big Red is simply amazing and farking quick! Adam is a very talented driver and that car is a complete animal! I don't think we had ANY traction through either of the runs which led it to be one of the most fun things ever!

No photos from me unfortuantely. Forgot the camera but I'm sure there will be plenty of photos and vids going around.

Hanging for next year's Championship!

hey gang

we had a great time and was a good fun weekend

pretty buggered today and not much happening

hope the bbq was upto its high standards - we were way ahead of schedule so that was helpful - sorry for the billion flies though

cheers to a fun year of deca events

thanks to everyone who helped run, organise, facilitate and basically make these happen

the crew on the commitee & volunteers work pretty hard for these events and hard work pays off as we all have a blast!

over and out

Another awesome DECA!

Thanks again to all the people involved in making it happen.

The afternoon battle courses were the toughest I've done & the heat wasn't helping my brain compute all that well, either... :-(

Oh & The Tudor can kiss my hairy a55 for telling me I can't prove the damage on my car is from when his portable pergola blew over and landed on both mine & Nathen's cars!

I can guarentee that I will never give him my business again & he will certainly be paying for it to be fixed!

/Rant...

Daz & Lisa.

GOD DAMN FLIES!!!!!!!!

ne hoo..

Had a top day... Speaks pretty well of an event like this if you can still have a real good time even if you are not competing..

I did get some filming done.. but by the end of the day i just could not be bothered so managed to score some rids with people..

I've knocked up a quick vid with some of my footage... its pretty rough, but you get the idea...

Thanks to the organisers, and hopefully i will be there next year some time with my car :nyaanyaa:

As everyone has said, thankyou so much to the organisers, helpers, and sponsors for a fantastic day out.

Being my first DECA event, I had a ball, and a good laugh trying to learn the courses set on the skidpan. Much like others, come the afternoon after way too much sun, heat, and flies, it was definately hard to concentrate on the courses, so i had some weaksauce and called it quits after a few mistakes :nyaanyaa:

Also, out of interest, did anyone else end up with screws in their tyre? I woke up sunday morning to find 1 almost deflated front right tyre, and about 4 screws in my left rear tyre, which I know for a fact I got from the DECA facility. Rather disappointed that I now have one tyre which is pretty much fubar, and another that I will need to get repaired, damaged from screws floating around at DECA lol.

Pretty sure i managed to get the screws in mine as I was leaving the DECA compound, so most likely near the carpark area or along the entry/exit road.

Does suck but what can you do, luckily I brought some spare rims for just such an occasion :w00t: Don't have a trailer like some of these showponies :nyaanyaa:

Nice footage Mat, great spot for the Long wang to setup the camera!
