Hks V-cam

I've read a few threads from a year ago about people asking about the HKS V-cam. But considering it was relatively new, there wasn't much info on people actually using them.

Now it's been out on the market for a while know, have people been able to see valuable improvements on the road from such a setup?

And do you need to run a HKS ECU?

Can you use it with a powerFC?

Anyone in Aus actually using one in SAU?

theres a few guys using it on www.gtr.co.uk.

although its fairly damn expensive, you could find gains elsewhere for the same sorta coin

From what i can see firstly... Its not cheap!

I dont beleive a HKS ECU is needed to run the system.

For memory the above results are from a 2.8 HKS Stroker Motor with a T04Z... So not really your average motor and its not really shoing "real world" results if you will...

So i dont know if a $4000 part is really bang for you buck unless you have built/modified basically everything else.

For me it depends what comes with the kit an avg set of cams and adjustable cam wheels are between 1000-1500 so really only 2.5k more then you would normaly pay.

Edit: well after reading more it seems you only replace one cam(inlet) with V-cam

Like i said it almost seems like a mod that you do when you have nothing else left to mod.

If you do end up doing it though, look forward to seeing the results.
