Hey guys Just a quick introduction im new to this forum, my names Alex and i live in Melb Im currently finishing up a deployment overseas and will be returning home to aus in a few weeks. Once home i will be purchasing the R33 my dad imported about a year ago off him and plan on starting work around the begining of Feb.

The Cars details are,

1996 R33 Skyline GTS-T Series II

75,XXXKms, Manual, White

Mods: Scarely Stock and very clean a great base for some light street modding, has slightly larger jap exhaust from turbo back i think around 2.5inch from memory.

As far as i know everything else mechanicaly is standard...

Im looking at upgrading the powerside of things a little and will have a budget of around $8000 to begin with. What would you all suggest to start with? Im not looking to create a drag machine just a nice hard street tune, id like to have 200-250rwkw eventualy but do not expect to achieve this after the first stages of modding.

Some of the Items i have considered are as follows:

GReddy 600x300x80 FMIC

Apexi Power FC

Apexi SAFC

Z32 AFM

500cc Injectors

GTR Fuel Pump

EBC (unsure what brand)

Turbo upgrade (either swap or highflow)

3inch Exhaust Turbo back with highflow cat

What do you guys think? Am i very far off track? What would you do if it was your car and you had this budget? Thanks Alot for any help.

Alex

Your list is pretty complete for what you desire- Delete the SAFC, add a clutch and with your stock highflow you should hit your goal nicely, plus still look legal in the engine bay >_<

If you want to start slowly, simply add a power FC, cooler, fuel pump and clutch first, the noticeable jump from stock to ~200rwkw will give you plenty of fun for a while, then add the injectors, AFM, and highflow later :action-smiley-069:

If you think you might get the mod bug, then my advice would be to look for a clean 33GTR and start from there. As if you get serious with mods on the GTSt your budget will grow to more than the price of a GTR!

Thanks Very Much Sly yes i forgot to put in a Heavy Duty Clutch there somewhere haha, well those sort of figures would probaly keep me happy, in terms of the 33 GTR option i spose i would have to decide between a gtst with about 8k in mods or a GTR around the 20k mark which would probaly be fairly stock i imagen if even obtainable?

throw the highflow out.. add a nismo coppermix clutch kit.. add a hks gtrs kit and youll be munching anything :D a solid 250 kw with the best response :D

add in a HKS boost controller or an Profec e-01 if you can find one.

i can tell you, the clutch wont let you down at all. and the gtrs will make u smile for weeks on end :)
