K&N Pod Filters

i recently cleaned my K&N pod filter, and reoiled it

i was worried about damage to the turbo if it wasnt oiled properly so may have over-oiled it... but nothing stupid:D

anyway every week or so there is a small puddle of the red oil under the filter as if its draining out..... is this just the excess i oversprayed or could it be draining the oil and now in need of re-oiling?!?!

probably just your over spray

did u let it soak in?

i over did it when i re oiled mine had no puddle problems

i actually sprayed it a while ago, it just keeps dripping.....

i assume it soaked in, i did it about 2 weeks ago! just keep getting little puddles of red oil, and am worried that i now dont have enough oil on the filter!

Its true in a way, especially if you oil your filter wayyy too much. Then you might have problems with your AFM.

yeh i got those instructions on the back of the oil spray... im just wandering how to tell how much oil you need, as theyre pretty vauge in their instructions and ive obviously oversprayed if its now dripping off it!!

I just had a look, its been dripping for 3 days? As YESEVO said, might wanna check the AFM.

Are you sure its from the pod??

yeh its the red/pink oil....

how do u check the AFM, i pull the filter off and it 'looks' ok but it cleans itself... plus cos theres so much oil i dont think its gunah suck any through

just have to wait and see though i guess

Q: How do you maintain / clean a dry type filter like Apexi pod?

Do you replace the filter element or clean it in some sort of way?
