hey ash.. time for some weight reduction? that is probably the reason those Silvias can take you..

Even 27, rating 1 for 3 years or something I wouldn't expect much change out of $4k a year for a GTR.. my gts-t costs me $1500 as it is

mmm... Funkey... you can take it off my hands.

but it wont come el cheapo.

only becasue it's got the t04e... extractors... ecu/loom..

All of which aren't cheap (extractors are 1-of-800 made)... but in the package you'll save.

remember it's making approx 190rwkw on the lowly 9psi  :D

wat do you think it's worth?  considering 250rwkw will be had with JUST BOOST. and nothing else :)

back to my question..

what would my motor be worht with the gooides on it?

wat does everyone think?

mmm... i'll be happy with 250...

but eventually... like i have now. I'll get sick of it and want more.

This is all about 12 months away... but yeah, i know what you mean meggala. 250 should be nice!!!

But on 215's i know what the end result will be... lol

but anyway... what is it worht do you think?

(even if i don't sell it) Out of interest at the moment.

Bearing in mind it's a series II motor with the VVT

CHINNY - u would need a bar made up customer if u want an R34 GTR front bar on a GTT

to fit a GTR bar u need guards AND a bonnet as the lights are different.... so it would have to be a custom one... perhaps someone like suborn could do this for u... redesign one to fit a GTT

You'll get used to 250rwkw soon enough and want faster..

when mine was back to stock at 130rwkw or whatever it would be i got used to it.. then back at 185rwkw or whatever it is it seemed fast again for like this weekend.. now its not again.. My car is sliding a lot with 40psi still on the tyres though - its kinda fun .. but i guess i better let them down if i want the tyres to last more than another 6 months.

I think 250rwkw would be a fun figure, traction or no traction.. i think that skidpan thing helped a fair bit in learning how to slide more which is good.

You worked how much petrol is going to kill you each week Jet ? :D

Well.. not that i know much.. but i have seen complete RB25 engines with just the stock turbo go for around $3000... so i'd say 3-4k, maybe a bit more with the T04.. you'll sell the turbo easily enough separate if you needed to.

You probably need a new gearbox to go with an RB26 as well don't you?

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
    • That's not very Toyota of the Toyota!
    • Bringing an old thread back to life Looking to put some new front shocks in the r33Gtst and the KYB still look ok for a road car. Unless there are any other options aroind that price $200 a shock?  I’d like to replace the strut tops also, is this the correct KYB no. For the strut top, KSM7124?  https://www.sparesbox.com.au/products/kyb-strut-top-mount-ksm7124?srsltid=AfmBOoq-HDru8wSlLnQrhU9gCw_uYdKg8gUQzONY-EQOdnI5iXOWEUjY 341287 appears to be the front KYB shocks part no.  thanks all
    • LandCruiser used to get a fluid flush every 12 to 18 months.   Only because it was about that often the electric motor on the master for brake assist kept dieing and needing to come off.
