the above is the easiest way. if you still cant tell from that, you could pull the coils out, put a spark plug in one (make sure the spark plug is touching the engine) the crank the car over a couple of times. if its working you will see a spark. then move the spark plug to the next coil and test that one.

have you tried just pulling the coil pack connectors one at a time to see if that changes the engine idle? that will tell you if you have a coilpack that isnt sparking.

Yeh ive tried that and the engine seems to drop in revs, does this mean that the coilpack isnt sparking ?

no, if the engine drops in revs, it means that coil is working fine. if you unplugged a coil and there was no change in revs or how the engine was running then it may be the coil.

Ok thats interesting what about the seeing the blue sparks ?.. someone on here told me about that method can anyone verify this method because when i tried it was showing blue sparks ?
