Hey all,

I was wondering if someone had a guide for the installation of the Profec B Spec II on a RB20?

I found some old guides for RB25, but the pic's were dead.

I know it is meant to be really easy, but i don't want to stuff it up and i also would like some advice on the best way to do in terms of performance of the unit.

Regards,

Bernhard

You can download the instructions from there, its pretty easy to install. It does't matter wether its an RB20, RB25 or even a SR20, its always the same installation.

The boost solenoid that goes in the engine bay has two vacuum lines, one from the actuator, and one from like an intercooler pipe. It's basically the same way you install a boost tee. Electronics wise you will just have to fine the right wires, earth, power, etc.

Cheers man,

I am pretty sure I understand the solenoid bit, i just dont know which hose is the one for the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

I also have a boost gauge installed so i am not sure how this is connected.

The hose I think is the vacuum hose for the fuel pressure reg has a T junction in it already. Could this be the boost gauge?

Pardon my n00bness :)

Pretty much any vacuum line coming off of the plenum is the same vacuum source, so it really doesnt matter where you hook it up as long as it is off of the plenum.

Cool thanks!

I figured it out, woohoo :woot:

Oh, one more thing.

I have found where the boost gauge is connected to a vacuum hose. I now need to connect the Boost controller in to it as well.

Can i put another T junction in the same hose, or this considered not good practise.

Only reason I ask I, is because the vacuum hose is right near where it needs to go through the firewall, so it will be easier and neater.

hey bernard, hows it going? good to see that u have got a good boost controller......never got around to putting one on the car myself, hope all goes well, as for the last question, you should be able to find another vaccum source at the front of the plennum i believe. car running good?
