as soon as i read it (with no knowledge of the pfc) i would say vacuum leak somewhere

check all intake hoses to make sure they're connected and tight

a constant hunt for idle suggests that air is getting into the plenum not via the throttle body and so the idle goes up - the idle air controller then stops airflow - but the idle goes down - and then it increases it, but air is leaking in still, so it goes down

meh...but you say it happened after you put the pfc in???

I dont think its vacuum leak cause this happens to my car too with the power fc in. But right now its all good as i put the standard ecu back in cause low in funds to get Power FC tuned. Paul recommended to get the power fc tuned or use higher octane fuel.

when i put my pfc in and before it was tuned i was cruising around with z32 and fuel pump and idle was up and down then after tuning it was much better just a little bit up and down so i tried cleaning the aac valve and that sorted it out so i would give that a try.

used this as a guide:

make sure you get a new gasket before you take everything apart or you'll be stuck and also i took it back to tuner after doing this so he could get idle right with pfc and manual reset and it was all good after that.

Mine also does the same after install of PFC. I did mention it to hyper drive since they did the install and tuning, they said no probs we will check it out when its in next. Well car goes in on the 12 Dec so i will post back what we found the problem to be.

He did mention that perhaps when we change to the Z32 AFM it will dissapear or perhaps the new piping they made up to the AFM could be a tab too close to the turbo could also cause it.

Like most things can be this or that so i wait on the result next week when i get car back.

But it looks like a common fault with PFC i guess since a few of us have encounted the same problem after install.

Cheers.
