Simple answer is YES it will work and makes a lil bit of difference.

But be aware the fall on the cam's is alot steeper as there ment to run with solid lifters, so it will be a lil harsh on the hydrolic lifters but other than that should be fine :nyaanyaa:

My answer would be no is doesnt work. If you put the 26 cams straight in with hydraulic lifters it runs like shit down low. Yes the top end is not too bad but it puts excessive pressure on hydro lifters, and you would also make more power and have a better curve with standard 20 cams.

Now yes you can put 26 solid lifters in an rb20/25 but just doing that wont work either. This applies to both 20/25 silvertop. Reason being is that the valve length is different between a solid and hydro head.

Put a 26 intake/exh valve side by side with a 25/20 valve and see what I mean. I have yet to see this work for anyone.
