which turbo is better td06 or to4r

Ive currenntly got a td06 19c and have been given the option to swap it for a to4R with external gate and manifold. Which is better top end, when they come on boost and overall. mine is currently making 268 at the wheels will the t04r be much the same??

depends on the spec of the t04r

if the exhaust housing is 1.0X ar then its way 2 big

that also goes for housing wheel.

The T04R is a huge turbo and you would expect a lot of lag but huge top end. That's pretty good performance from a TD06. What other mods have you done? Running high boost?

T04r would be a bit bigger, thats what is commonly put on GTRs in Japan with about 600hp.

Is that kit one comming soon at JMS, i would stick with what you have got for the street.

I've got a td06-20g to go onto my rb25, should be on over the next 4 to 6 weeks. I'll let you know what HP it gives me and spoolup too, bare in mind I will be running the stock ecu to begin with, will be changing the ecu over just need more money
