Hey guys am looking at getting an engine management system in the next few months but not sure what to get i dont want to have to pay too much as i dont plan on modifying too heavily. my total plans are FMIC, full 3" exhaust, z32 afm, bigger turbo, fuel pump and possibly injectors i was thinking of getting the greddy e-manage ultimate but not sure if this would be good enough any ideas or comments would be great

Find a good tuner, then get the ecu he/she is most comfortable tunning; as this will get you the smoothest and best tune for your car. An ecu is only as good as the tuner. If you buy a Pfc, then ask a Wolf tuner to tune it, he may do an "ok" job, but he wouldn't know all the "in's and outs" to make it a great tune and extract the engine's true potential (and vis-versa; if you were to by a wolf and get a pfc tuner to tune it).

if you dont touch injectors and not a huge turbo (or just use a r33 turbo... will make 260-280rwhp)

you can use a safc?

yeah im thinking of getting a garrett GT2860RS im not sure if that would be too big for the safc

safc is only good for getting the best out of a lightly modded car. the EMU would be up to the job, but, like has been already said, find a tuner you happy with, look at the ecu's they can tune and go from there.

Also depends on your budget. Autronic, Motec and Haltec are good ecu's but in the top end of the prices, any possibly overkill for the rb20 (depending on your future plans) PowerFC are still around for the rb20 second hand. Wolf3D's are a good unit and plug in aswell. EMU is one of the cheaper options and can almost do everything a full aftermarket can do. IMO if there is a good remap tuner around your area then that is the way to go.
