can someone with teins take me for a ride?!

hi guys, i need a ride in a 33 equipped with teins. I just got some in mine, and the ride is, well there is no ride! its like a plank of wood! It has been suggested that the coilovers have had a heavy option spring put in, and that i can get softer ones (440 a set).

Can someone take me for a ride so i can compare?

is anyone getting decent ride using a softer setting on the dampers? if i set mine to softer, it just bounces around even more.

also, if you are going to run them on a soft setting, dont you ideally want to use softer springs to match the softer shock rate?

I can take you for a quick ride as soon as my car troubles are sorted out. In regards to your other questions, i have no idea about the settings on the susp besides the hieght one. Dont know how to change dampness and chamber... I have Tien HAs what u got?

What wheels are you running? I have seen people with 19" 35 series wonder why the ride is so hard - just a thought, it may not be just your springs

my cousin had teins on his .. only height adjustables though and i thought they were pretty good .. it was bumpy but not like a plank of wood ... maybe it is a good idea to try others ...

You won't get Teins to feel much softer then a plank of wood.......buy hey, you get 100% performance. At least you can take cornerns twice as fast with no body roll.

yeah on a newly laid smooth tar road my teins feel like I'm driving a gokart through an offroad rally course....they're so bloody hard!

Rob, how do you go about adjusting the damper to soft and reducing the ride height? Does it detract from the handling?

another thing is the quality of the tyres really matter too .. u aint going to be taking corners at 10000 kmph with shitty tyres ...

Dampers can be adjusted by turning a knob that is located on the bottom of the strut, it should say on the strut which way to turn to make it harder or softer.

is that the bolt that sticks out on top of the strut? (ie points up into the air on the front ones) or is the knob down on the suspension itself under the wheel guard? sorry ive never really adjusted my suspension...

I would think the bolt with the allen key bit, however ive never adjusted it.

You can see the knob easies on the rear struts.....just get under the car and look up at the bottom of the strut. It should be as big as a 10cent piece, it has writing on the knob itselft (Soft - Hard)
