New 'welcome' Section

Hey guys!

I'm new here and possibly about to get an already heavily-moddified R33.

I noticed there is no welcome thread here?

I currenty own a mod'd WRX and on perthwrx.com there is an "Introductions" thread under the 'general' section. see link below for a quick squizz:

I think it's a great idea as people can create a new thread saying 'hi', state what they have, what they plan to do and ask any immediate questions, as well as posting pics of their ride.

If you wanted, after say 1/2 a year of having their welcome thread (or shorter if you wish) you can delete it, as all greetings will have been said and suggestions answered.

Here's an idea of what it is like. this was my intro thread, with pics and some future mod plans, as well as people's responses.

Hey Alex,

Welcome to SAU firstly.

Secondly, that is a good idea. I have been toying with an introductions area (with informative stickies) and also a 'my cars' section for info on your car and mods, pics etc... Might be good to add both.

You could also check in each state section, I haven't checked the others but Qld for example has an introductions thread already, it's one of the stickies.
