Hi all after some advice.

I have $1100 to spend on my r33 gtst series 1.

What would be the best value next thing to go for i have as follows already done.

Kakimoto exhaust

HKS pod filter

Walbro fuel pump

Mongoose alarm

all stereo components as i want.

Lowered king springs

Roh holotype R 17" mags

Brand new tyres

Brand new exedy heavy duty clutch

100000 klm service just been done.

custom front bar

custom rear wing

windows tinted.

Ebc fitted set at 7 psi (usually drive with daughter in car so no need for big power)

After some ideas to do next.

everything else that isnt listed above is standard

any fuel air management options in that price range?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Dump and front pipe and large Cat (if not included in the "kakimoto exhaust")

or

SAFC NEO would fit in the under $1100 catagory installed and tuned.

or

Some new Shock absorbers to replace the dead old ones which have further been killed by the lowered springs.

What he said if your looking at more power.

Also look into some steel braided brake lines, new fluid and good pads (makes the brakes fell new again), or perhaps some new suspension bushes/shock/springs/swaybars to get it driving really nice.

If you have thoughts of putting a FMIC on, do it before you do the SAFC, you'll only have to retune afterwards otherwise.

Also, boost it up before you get it tuned (Boost to a happy level, around 10PSi should be plenty)

Then tune it.

Stock intercooler is a restrictive piece of junk that doesn't really cool anything down (Good at heat soaking)

So really, no, I wouldn't be calling it safe.

With exhaust, FMIC, boost and tune, the car will be TOTALLY different for you.

FMIC kit is like $300 - $400

Fit yourself.

Get a boost controller, (Those $22 ones are great!)

Then get a second hand SAFC2 and tune it.

All for under $1100 if you do stuff yourself (Dyno it to tune it though)

FMIC for $400 involves cuttong a hole in the chassis, trimming the fan blades, cutting the front bar and it's support.

$150 R34 GTT side mounted stock intercooler is bigger than the R33 one in each direction, yet is a straight swap (bit tight but still straight swap).

it has been proven number of times to be good for cooling and flow for around 220rwkw.

your stock turbo will not do any more than that anyway.

$150.

remove some hose clamps, remove some bolts, remove old intercooker, then reverse the steps with new intercooler.

ALSO, SAFC will be tuned on a dyno.

that is when I would increase the boost. not before.

better safe than sorry.

strap the car on.

increase boost to 10psi, dyno run, get result.

then the tuner goes and makes the adjustments and runs it again, then same step over and over to find the best compromise.

expect around 190-200kw

Then post a thread on here about your result so everyone can take out there online penises and compare. :w00t:

LOL @ online penises.

OK now to find an r34 intercooler?

also how much should i be paying to fit and tune the safc 2. One workshop which i wont name has quoted $150 to fit it then around $600 to tune on dyno and wants car for 2 days?
