New Member ---- Buying R34 Interstate..

Recommended Posts

Honestly I wouldn't bother. Emissions and engineering are simply too expensive here in SA to make it worth while.

The SR20 is a great motor in a light weight shell; the heavier Skylines need displacement.

Even with 270rwkw the SR20 in the 1400+kg R34 won't exactly be a tough streeter until mid to end of third gear, so in short useless.

Buy something that will be easier to sell in the future.

An R34 with the SR20 fart.. :S

geeeeeeee.

I came on here for some mature answers.

not answers explaining , gay paint etc.

alot of 'know it alls' by the look.

well u know, im trying to make u understand, if u want that paint and kit (besides recommending u a good optometrist) it would make a lot more sense to buy a car here and get it done locally, and as i said, the SR is a pretty terrible way to go about it all, i mean as cubes said, SR's are fine in a light shell where weight is more of a factor, but R34's are designed to have a RB25 sitting there, so the extra weight isnt such an issue which is really the only advantage the SR has, and really for the larger size of the R34 u really need a bigger engine like the RB25, especially if ur planning to make big power like he attempted with the SR.

also anyone who has been through regency will tell u how anal they are about even a stock car let alone something like this, these people saying this have usually been through the system a few times already and know, personally ive cleared 2 defects and 1 compliance and imo u will not get through inspection unless u get a really really nice inspector. although anything is possible i guess.
