Hey guys,

My favourite Skyline is the R33, i've always loved it's shape, voluptuous hips, and tail light scheme over the R32 & 34 GT-Rs. But isn't it the most unpopular GT-R available?

Well the 32 GT-R will always be 'Godzilla' and have the astonishing track record of winning EVERYTHING and it's the lightest, most trim and focused looking GT-R to date.

The 34 GT-R was, until recently, the newest you could get, most technologically advanced, most muscular looking and the outright pinnacle of what GT-R stands for. And that dash-mounted monitor was a bloody fantastic addition!

But the 33 GT-R, well it's a 'boat' compared to the 32, and is outdone on the track by the 34. Basically it gets lost in between its great brothers and is being forgotten.

There is merit in the 33, right? What do you guys think? I'll admit dream GT-R is a 34 V-Spec and the 34 just looks better than the others, but it's too damn expensive without being THAT mechanically different to a 33. And the 32 is getting on now, it's an old dog and needs a walking frame.

I'd go a 33 GT-R, yes. Do you guys have an opinion on this?

Yeah man i with you hey, the r33 gtr is wat i would go, but seems to be slippin away. If i had the money the r34 would be wat i would grab but it is just unaffordable nowdays (still)

i hear u man. i like the r33 best then the r32 and the r34 isnt even on my list.

r32= sharp, knife like exterior, fairly light and well balanced.

r33= sharp with slightly rounded lines. looks smooth and handles considerably well for its size and weight.

r34= well.... it is a brick. has a high rear and have seen some porpoising issues. the front looks good, but thats about it.

evaluations

32=knife/sword

33= pinnacle of style....except for new gtr of course :w00t:

34= way too large and ugly. =brick

ohhhh hey dont get me wrong... love the GTRs. I mean im leaning towards getting a 33GTR and i dont think im going to be disapointed if i do get one.....

but in order of fav looking goes, 34 then 32 the 33

Ive seen quite a few done up 32s and 34s but 33 dont seem to be touched body wise.

in stock form, the 33 gtr doesnt look that good. too high, wheels not wide enough.

but that goes for most cars.

when u see a 33gtr that's been lowered, a bit of camber, and those guards filled up with wide tyres, oh man they look hot. such a wide aggressive stance.

IMO - the R33 GTR looks the toughest... it's no boat if you mod it right... the R33 is the sexiest, hottest and most aggressive looking Skyline... if I had the cash, I would definitely get a R33 GT-R VSPECII. R34 looks nice too, but the R33 is street-wise looking - tough!

    • I would again like too thank Matt for his help in me sourcing the detachable hard top for the little red car, without Matt's assistance in inspecting it and locking it down, I can guarantee it would have sold before I could get up to see it,  and as that was the only available NC hardtop in Australia, I consider myself extremely lucky on multiple levels To say I'm more that happy would be an understatement And, it is 100% water tight, I drove through torrential rain coming back south, and by torrential, they type of rain that doing 40kph in a 110kph zone was a real thing, and even then, the standing water on the Hwy was deep enough to throw waves I'm also more than happy that the huge "BEASTS" that Matt calls dogs didn't eat me for lunch, I'm sure the sniffs and licks were more to "taste test" me, over being to friendly Now to work out what colour to get it painted, panel match, or gloss black........first world problems are real
    • Actually I might have figured out. Looks like there is a tab according to google images but it's hidden. Silly me.
    • No clips on this one like the other connector. Only that red tab that I can push slightly up.
    • For any loom connector that has an obvious release that resists pushing far enough to unclip, just spray some silicone lube into it. You might also benefit from using a bent screwdriver or small pick to push in the right place at the right angle.
    • Hey all, I went to try and fix my indicator not canceling, but I couldn't remove the clockspring cable under the column so I could twist that green thin. Anyone know how to remove this cable? I see this red tab but didn't have any luck. I was thinking of unscrewing it but wasn't sure if it would cause issues. I did notice for my indicator stalk, 2 out of 3 cables were plugged in but the last cable wouldn't fit in the stalk. I'm getting it's for fog lights. It was like this when I originally pulled it off.
