Only the owner of an r31 skyline could think it looks better than an r33 GT-R.

Thats why I own an R31 and not an R33...I would take a GTS-R with dished rims over an R33 GTR anyday, but thats just me :)

And I love my old Silhouette R31....the rb30e just keeps going and going :D

Cheers!

The R33 is the unique one out of the whole pack,

it's not as shape and aggressive looking like all the others

whilst still being very slick and stylish.

IMO it's the best looking skyline there is, even if the R35 comes out

Hmmm...bet its 33-inches.

Wide :)

Yah the 400R is up there with the best Nismo tuned cars, the closet i get to it is a 700hp version i tuned in GT4 lol. I'm not a fan of the 400R bodykit on gtst-t's though, which i've seen a fair bit. They're not beefy enough to wear that sh!t, with all those ducts n stuff. Only looks good on a dildo GTR shape.

You'll never get a 400R, let's just face it. There's what, only 99 ever made? And there's how many millions of Skyline fans out there?

Yah, stick with the rallying :P

I realise I will very likely never own a true 400r and I also dont like 400r kits on 33t's much .. a friend of mine has it on his... it's not like I don't have the most common change to a 33t either though *read gtr style wing*.

That said the 400r front bar is definetly ok by me on a 33t when you want to put on an FMIC.. the ducting to the front brakes isnt a bad idea with the new pipes covering the previous ducted cold air etc (S2).

My S2 does have a standard S2 kit and wing + lip... sorry yea I actually was the one who swapped the 33r styled wing to my T.. the S2 wing was well... gay. I bought a T because I wanted an R.. like people buying boxters when they wanted 911's... etc

Meh I bought it years ago now and I could definetly afford an R now.. Guess I kind of have enough fun in my T for now..... sunk enough money into its stopping and turning... could use more go though... Defintely thinking about a track only import evo6 to bounce around a few tarmacs and some dust. they are starting to come down to acceptably trashable costing levels like my T.

Id go 34 out of the lot but 33 is not far behind. nice a phat

32's just never did it for me... not sleek enough like an s15 nor fat enough like a 33 its sort of inbetween

but it all depends on you

and yes they look much better in real life ... oh so fat =)

+100 ....

And I must say, it's the GT-R variance we're talking about... the R33 GT-R "overall" looks toughest and most stylish... I love all Skylines, dating back to the R30's etc to the latest release R35 - but the R33 GTR has got to be the toughest thing to where a GTR badge and be named a Nissan... period.

When i see the 32/34 i think = Japanese sports car

When i see the 33 i think = Japanese muscle car

Yeh i think us T owners often think/do upgrade to GTRs. It doesn't make sense to get a 32 gtr for $20k when a 33 Vspec goes for around (i've seen them for just under) $30k. To go a 34 for double the price, with only *slightly* better standard performance doesn't cut it for me. The styling of the 34 doesn't make me cream enough to fork out the cash. That said, i like the idea of a track only import! You can get an 11 second monster for a fraction of the cost of building it yourself!

You can make your own 400R from a 33 GTR if you're that keen  . Just bore it out to 2.8L, get a Nismo/Tomei stroker and cam kit, get N1 turbos, carbon driveshaft, uprate the fuelling sytem, cooling, oiling, exhaust, intake, intercooler, suspension, brakes to Nismo items. If you look around you might find original 400R wheels at a Jap auction (good luck).

Sounds expensive huh? Guess most ppl that buy 400R's are just buying a collectors item, cause that performance can be attained from a regular GTR with some serious mods.

Very nice buy. R32 and R33 GTR's are the best bang for buck purchase on the market today IMO.

Sounds like you did very well to achieve a $7k changeover. A lot of people would be envious of your GTS25T sale price. Congratulations and pics of the new beast please.

    • The cam I am actually putting in (a few posts up) is actually smaller than my current one. At least duration/overlap wise. All the chop stuff I hear just sounds like an engine running badly, because it is. I then envision driving it around in 1st gear and being massively sad about it bucking to the beat of said chop. There is an idle video of someone with a similar cam floating around the internet, but mine is a custom cam (so is his) so it'll never be the same, plus the fact exhausts are entirely different. What I want to do is put some bullet mufflers/race mufflers in to replace a couple sections straight pipes that currently replace the two extra cats that I don't need. But this is even further down the line!
    • I can tell you now, when the bracket that the little hydraulic ram attaches to snaps, with a subframe, and V8 from an AMG C63 on it, it sounds like someone letting shotgun off right beside you. It leaves your ears ringing, and a huge thankfulness that you never ever put a body part under something heavy that's only supported by a hydraulic lift...
    • Still not a guarantee fix. I used a high quality butyl-mastiq (the black goo that's not really silicone nor polyurethane, same stuff they use from the factory that just spreads out like melty cheese), and I still get lots of water on both sides of the trunk when raining or washing the car. I also suspect the factory spoiler rubber gasket might not be sealing well, so I'm thinking of adding a thin layer of grey silicone around the bolt holes on both sides and see if that's where it also leaks from. The biggest issue is that these cars don't come with a drain hole on each side like other coupes and hatchbacks.
