Ok, i`m open a ECU an what i see:

hd6802 processor (Hitachi MC6802 analog datashet i have)

24 pin ram chip near processor (HM46810P Hitachi Semiconductor :: General-Purpose Static RAM 128*8 bits datasheet i have)

24 PIN Mask rom (HN48364P i`cant found datasheet. but i think it`s 8192 bytes size no datasheet)

24 PIN EPROM (hn25089 i`m think it`s 1024 bytes no datasheet).

My chinese programmer UP48 dont support these chips. :D

Chinise guys says:

Hi,

I am very sorry, UP-48 can support this chip number .

Can you send this chip datasheet to us,we will try on add support in other pruducts, thanks!

But i don`t have datasheets

How I can read all memory? Maybe solder a adapter like 27c512 take a adress and datalines from processor and read this like 27c512?

I was under the impression that the hr30/dr30 ecu's were not reprogram able.

i`m dont saw it. i`m can`t read hitachi memory chips with my programmator. it`s all. If you can, make it and give me bin-file. I`m rebuild my ecu for 27c512 or 27c256.

I`m dont need that... ;)

Procedure is 99% similar with this http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?title=ECU_Chipping

But on r31 using easy to read 27c128 memory chip. in r30 ecu 2 rom chips with switch on A15 adress line. it`s hard to read. But i`m will solder a adapter for 27c128 adaptation for this ecu.

Hi Alexander,

Seriously, if you have the electronic skills to attempt re-programming a 1st generation Japanese digital ECU, then you should find fitting an aftermarket ECU a piece of cake. The HR30 already runs an optical distributor, so all you need to fit is Air-Temp, TPS & MAP sensors (over & above what's factory fitted) and you're 1/2 way there.

At least then you can tune it to run on whatever grade fuel you have available & modify the engine down the track without the hassle of outgrowing the factory ECU.

With a decent time investment and an extra pair of hands, even tuning can be achieved without a the use of a chassis dyno.

Food for thought...
