Hey guys,

Just wondering what you guys use and recommend for checking tyre pressures, esp at the track. Need something 99.99% accurate at least! :(

I was looking at something like this

Similar to what Greg (STRETCH) had at Bathurst the other weekend and was great.

Any others out there?

cheers,

Chris

yeah those race style ones are the most accurate. race and rally and similar sell them. And they have a handy "let air out" button so you arent always scrounging on the ground for a cable tie or small rock.

I use a simple digital gauge though....it only reads .5 psi difference but thats good enough for me - the analogue ones are more accurate but harder to read exact pressure of the gauge. Every now and then I check accuracy back to a good gauge.

I have that one. My dad got it for my birthday. He did all the research and its pretty good. Few reviews he read had it as #1. Stuff like easy to read, and its accuracy.

i use a snap on one. had it for years. still going strong.

that little stubby one in the case is not so good. you need one with a hose so 1, you can hold it away from hot wheels and brakes and 2, so you can manipulate the gauge into a spot where it's easy to read. I would say buy something really nice. it's one of those things you will keep and use for a long time. the longacre ones are pretty good. i wouldn't hesitate in buying one of them.

It does necessarily have to be accurate (yes, that would be nice, though). As long as you use the same gauge, then everything will be relative.

Dick Smith used to have a digital gauge. And not overly expensive. Maybe check them out.

SNAPON Chris don`t buy crap if it`s something that you use weekly then SPEND the MONEY.i have i had a bluepoint on for 27 year`s that has been used&abused,it`s still with in 1 psi .so get a good one.i priced on $65 ? + extention, the extention is a must with any gauge.GOOD LUCK Chris, cheer`s chuckie.
