hi guys

ive done a search and also spoke to alot of people and i seem to be getting two answers...

which garret turbo is the closest to N1?

the gt2560r

or

the gt2860-??

ive been told the 2860 is the N1 equiv then also that its the 2530 equiv?

i want roughly 300rwkw with the max response available. Whats best?

The gt2560r and gt2860r are the exact same turbo, its just that different people call it differently, due to garrett not being able to make up their mind about what to name it. The exact one you're looking for is the 2560/2860 -7. The -7 is the garrett equivalent of the n1 turbo, which is comparable to the HKS GT-SS.

Whoever told you that the 2860/2560 is the equivalent of the HKS 2530 was referring to the -5 model of the 2560s. The -5 is larger than the -7.

Basically any of these turbos (gt2560r -7, n1 and gt-ss) will be a good choice for your power goals.
