ok problem is i dont know what combo i want to use on the 32

2 choices are HKS GTRS twin kit OR HKS T04z (0.81)

maintenance says t04z

response is similar 4k +/- 200rpm

car is a weekend streeter / track warior so it wont spend alot of time below 4.5k on the track anyways

so far i have awaiting to be assembled

pfc (looking at either a haltech or motec)

n1 block

n1 crank

r34 head

eagle rods

tomei pistons

acl bearings

n1 water pump(may change to ecectric)

n1 oil pump(maybe a 4 stage dry sump)

trust drag spec inter

greddy radiator

greddy inlet

ross tufbond balancer

all tomei head gear (bar cams depends on turbos)

ect ect......

opinions backed up with proof always help

and yes i have been through the rb26 section over and over

I honestly dont think in a stock capacity RB26 you will see decent power/response by 4000rpm with either of those two turbos.

You'd really need to look at a stroker, Gav had good results and i think he was using a 2.8ltr (cant remember that for sure).

How much power do you want/need? Both those setups are well capable of 430rwkw+

So if you want less, 3700-400, 2530's (or similar) would be better all around and give the response your after

yeah looked at stroking it but big $$$

(still want a ppg dog box)

have run 2510's (which i am about to sell if any one wants) and 2530's on stock motor

but this time i want more hp and torque

gonna run a lil higher on the compression side of things

otherwise

some agressive caming and a 9k redline

this is pretty much a track car and the odd charity cruise / weekender so i dont expect to much down low

streeter idea has gone since we got a 130kph speed limit up here now, missing the old open limit

You still gotta ask yourself... are you going for 400-430rwkw or more?

If not, then 2530 (or similar) is where it at, and the reason they are the most common choice and you will be far happier.

Your car will be faster hands down than a t04z/GT-RS equipped car, maybe not above 250km/h, but you wont even see that at a track either realistically that much either.

If you ran 2530's on a stocker motor, then your missing out, on a build motor with 20+psi, you really make some scary mumbo especially in the 32... perfect for the track :P

I know a built 32 here in Melb taking off a T04Z to go back to low mounts for track work as the big T04Z is simply too laggy with the top end not worth it, hence my comments on it.

I'll be seeing him over the weekend so ill let him know there is a thread calling for his thoughts.

I agree about the HKS 2530s. Thats what I have in my car.. Still standard engine except for Tomei Poncams, but can only imagine how hard they would go with 25psi and higher compression!! I would never go single on a GTR unless it was to be a dyno queen. haha
