I was thinking of mounting my oil cooler in front of my intercooler, instead of it being in the right or left side nose section.. i saw it done on a skyline on the BIG X dvd.

Do you think that would cause any problems with the intercooler, could the hot air generated from the oil cooler have any effect on the intercooler, or would tht factor be insignificant.

Thoughts please :domokun: ??

as long as air gets through the coolers it doesnt really matter. i've installed a fairly large one in front of a intercooler on a 5.7l VZ supercharged ute and after some testing the heat from the oil cooler only affected the intercooler by 1deg. if you put it in front of the intercooler you have to watch for your front bar kinking the oil lines and rocks being flicked up from the car in front will damage the cooler and possible make it leak. all these things have to be taken into consideration for a street car
