this has been covered a lot.

If u mean extra work as in cutting off and welding up the 4wd transfer case, then yes a bit of work is required. Plus the fact u are replacing it with an older box.....

sorry mate i searched the site for about 3 hours last night trying to find a post about it

I immagine that a 32 box isnt going to deal to well with the tourque of a rb25, its the tourque that kills gearboxes afterall, not power
I don't know about that. I'm running a RB25DET in a 32 GTS4, through the original gearbox, and the 'box is holding up fine.

i read those threads URAS, pretty interesting.

i still have one question though, which gear box is best bang for buck, and strong enough to handle say 350rwkw.

from reading that i gathered, gts-t boxes are more expensive then gtr boxes, and that gtr boxes are hard to get to fit gts-t's. would it be worth making a rb26 box fit a rb20? or would it just be better just to throw a rb25 box in.

ps. will the rb25 box be just as strong as a 26box?

sorry for the noob questions, just curious to know.

thanks, issa.
