What Speed What Rpm Is My Speedo Or Tacho Out?

i'm new to skylines just want to check that my speedo or tacho is not out.

wen cruising what speed and rpm are u doin

mine does

3rd gear @ 2000rpm: 40

4th gear @ 2000rpm: 52

5th gear @ 2000rpm: 73

anyone want to comment if everything seems normal?!?!

as far as what i know bout the car is that it has 235/40/18 at the fronts and 265/35/18 at the back

Your tyre profile etc etc are right so i cant see how it would have changed too much unless u mucked around with the cable. Your speeds seem about right but i wouldnt be able to tell u exactly as i have a 32, but have see my mates 33 many a times at these speeds and yours seems around the same. As Zennon said, best way to check is to borrow a GPS and find out how fast it says you are going...they are almost spot on but do have a tiny bit of lag (time delay) when relaying the signal back and forth between the satelites.

agreed - what i use to do is take it on the highway and do a constant 100kph or whatever on a nice strait bit and let passenger read out how fast the gps says

cause moving from a hyundai getz i'm actually driving slower cause of the lower gearing ><

While driving yesterday and made a note to my RPM and speedo... 2000rpm around 55-56km/hr using 235/45 tyres front and rear.
