hey, i purchased this from the for sale section. And was told it was an Turbo Auto R33 Series 2 Ecu. So when it got delivered and my mate was gona put it in my car we found out it was completely different to my one. Btw im doing a turbo conversion so i was taking the non turbo ecu and putting in a turbo ecu.

Can anyone confirm what car it came from? I might have been jibbed, have contacted the seller and waiting for a reply, but in the mean time i need to know what the hell i have. The sticker says Nissan, but that could have just been stuck on. And note that the R33 ecus, where the loom plugs in is blue and this is black, and it doesnt have the screw in the middle.

no, not 100% but the best google and i could come up with

you could look over this list, i had a quick look but couldnt see it on there.

http://www.grid.co.jp/ecu_data.htm

its helped me id ecu's before.

and the "MEC - XXXX" from what i've found out previously is the ROM Chip type. and most of the RB DET models carry a MEC type chip.

ahh the seller still hasnt made contact back with me, he told me the wrecker sold him a half cut and this ecu came out of it. Fken dodgy bastards.

i have contacted admins but still no reply.

hey eug, is it possible for you to get in touch with admins or do something about it. Or this is not something u can do anything about.

jst need to know wat to do next thats all.

unfortunately i don't have any extra special access to admins.

best way would be to use the '! REPORT' button relevant to the for sale thread.

to be honest the admins cant really do anything extra in regards to getting some leverage.

in a buy/sell case, always ask for as many pictures as possible - and do the research before hand.

a seller who won't provide photos and contact details (mobile/email/etc) is one not worth buying from.

as always, CAVEAT EMPTOR.
