how u clean afm?

what do i exactly do to clean it?.

what kind of product shud i use?

shud i clean it with water?

spray the internal element with CO contact cleaner (available from electronic parts shops)

never agitate the sensing element with your finger, a brush, or anything abrasive

get a contact cleaner for VHS tape heads etc... one that comes with a long thin tube so you can get into tricky spots... poke a tiny hole in the mesh so the tube can get thru... slide the tube in till its about 1cm away from the sensing element... spray it a little, let it dry, then repeat. Pull the tube out and try your AFM out.
