yea fanny. found out they were $60 EACH!!!!!

all i have read is that they have iridium tips. and some silicone coating that dissipates heat.

was just wondering if anyone has used em, and if their worth the price?

REALLY. wow that blows my mind....

was always told to go iriduim tips, for longevity and performance.

well if greddy's are just iriduims, will just keep using ngk's

(iridiums are meant to be better than copper/nickel ones)

I'm firmly of the belief that shorter life copper sparks are better performance as they are a better conductor. You just have to change them more often. Anyone who upsells you on expensive sparks made of unobtainium is just after a better profit margin.

not sure if that's sarcazmic or not.... :)

yes.. iridium do last longer.

copper provides better spark but needs changing more frequently.

but the 100,000km change period listed on iridiums is a crock of crap.

especially in skylines using stock computer with mods.

they tend to run rich which fouls your $25 plugs or your $4 plugs.

yup. i will chuck in a copper set for the east coast customs dyno day.

hope they work. but will gap them correctly of course.

is there a specific brand that is the best?

eg silly sollies brand or ngk copper ones?

we use NGK BCPR6ES copper's on almost all the RB's that come thru the workshop as part of regular service. They're gapped at 1.1, although if you're running high boost then you'd probably want to go down to a 0.8

Also you can get different sparks if you're having troubles with a cold engine etc, but in general BCPR6ES's are the ones I use... coppers are great if you have the time and patience to learn how to change your own sparks... takes about 20 mins.

copper ngks are the way to go iridems ect ect we put in the back bank on v6 magnas and camrys cause there a prick to get to. 60 bucks a plug your paying for wank value and bragging rights . i would spend my money on copper ngks and a set of indexing washer;s and still be plenty of bucks in front .:-)

    • Hey all, I'm sorry if this has been discussed before.  I have a 2008 Japanese import V36 coupe with nav but without Bose. I bought one of those AliExpress android screens, which for the most part works really well.  The only thing that doesn't work is the air con controls (well sort of) and the factory reverse camera.  The AC can be controlled fine but it doesn't report the change in temp and mode to the screen, and the volume knob/other audio controls from the panel don't register on the learning app.  I am pretty certain that the problem is the difference in the head unit between base model (Nav but no Bose) 2007-2009 coupes and anything after 2009.  Mine is the one with the blue connector all the way to the right as seen in this forum post:  The reason I think this is there is one wire left over that doesn't fit anywhere on this head unit, or in the factory screen which also uses different connectors to more recent versions.  I've seen the upgrade from OWC, and have sent the guy a message on eBay but no response yet.  I also don't particularly need the whole kit, just *maybe* an adapter for this one cable.  Did anyone else here have the same problem, or have any insight about what I can do to get this working?  I have been in contact with the seller but all they seem to be able to do is ask for more pictures and videos. Minor edit to add:  I have been researching and found a screen on Aliexpress that actually specifies my head unit in the listing, so these things do exist.  I will contact the seller to see if the wiring adapters are interchangeable with other screens.   Thanks in advance!
