I backed into a tree at St Leonards after a nite shift last week. It was actually quite amusing I thought. There it was, the ultimate parking spot, tree in front, tree behind it, just begging me to park in it. It was right out the front of the coffee shop where my g/f was awaiting for the morning after work for me start of work for her coffee, she was sitting there with bout 5 other ppl out the front of this place. I reverse in and "CRUNCH". Couldnt see anything but it made "THAT" sound ya just dont wanna hear! So I poke my head out the window and all i could say was "OOOOPS, YA GET THAT". Turns out i flattened the poor little tree and chipped alittle fibreglass off my bar.

The coffee was good though!

funny you should say that, my mum was driving my grandfather (now 87) home in her car when a skyline passed them, mum noticed but didn't say anything and my grandfather said thats a nissan skyline like ash's

So it was YOUR GRANDFATHER that's been going around vandalising our cars!

Hey guys and gals, sorry to hear about everyones' misfortunes... Although it could all be a lot worse: a council front-end loader pushed its bucket into a mate's car (JZA80 Supra) after it had just come back from getting a $8000 respray in custom candy that morning.

We nearly cried...

Well they paid the repair cost, even they have comprehensive insurance coverage... It was just a crying shame he got the car back after a total strip-down respray that took a bit over a month (the dude was slow. Good, but slow) and only had it for 3.5hours before it was being loaded onto a tow-truck...

He saw the error of his ways and sold it after he got it back (another month, although this time he got an insurance loaner-car!) and bought an R32 GT-R...

Ah, good that it was a happy ending. I'd really hate for some scum of a council worker to do that sort of thing and do a runner, or just totally deny ever doing the damage (which would be easy to do with a front-end loader I would say).

Apparently a LOT of bus drivers (both private and government) will deny hitting someone just to avoid the company having to pay up. Must be because of management telling them to do so, or imposing penalties on any drivers involved in an accident.

I had a lady in a 4WD back into the grill of my car (damn high-mount towballs!) and she admitted to hitting it. Then when the bill for the grill (which had to come in from Japan) landed on her doorstep she denied it was her car and claimed she was elsewhere at the time...

Our solicitors chatted for a while (it's the principle of the thing!) and she agreed to pay different quote. So i got a mate to fabricate a new, custom mesh grill which was twice as expensive and she had to pay it. Revenge is sweet!

    • I like it when the counter chick leads you out the back into the racks and says "have a grub around in here and see if you can find what you need. I'll be back in a few minutes. Just left me in front of a massive motorised shelving system and 2-3 million fasteners, so I could find a peculiar SS shoulder bolt with cap head. Gotta love country towns.
    • I used this https://osgiken.com.au/product/os-giken-os-250r-lsd-gear-oil-80w250-1-litre/   shut my nismo 1.5 pro up by heaps…. Not silent though. Gives the car character and personality. It ain’t a carolla. If you want silent, put a quaife in it.
    • It's about the same time for me from Bunnings, or the Fasteners. My big push away from takeaway food, and gluten in general keeps me away from the Bunnings Snags too! Weather up here, I've been out for two walks today in the beautiful sunshine. Had a few little drizzles, and some wind, that honestly, a tin of beans and I could compete on how harsh she blows Thankfully, being this bit inland, we're not getting anything much really. Will probably pick up a bit more when/if Cyclone Alfie decides to come ashore. A few areas in the GC though, and south into NSW are really getting smashed though! Right now, I'm just annoyed Alfie hasn't hit, as I'm not allowed to crack into the BBQ foods like the bacon and eggs until the Cyclone hits "In case we lose power"...
    • I love fastener joints, the price difference between them and joints like Bunnings or Super Cheap is amazing, and they either have exactly what you want, or they can get it to quick They have even given me some for free when I only needed a couple of specific size In saying this, I have paid premium for fasteners from Bunnings if they have the sizes I need, but only for convenience really, as my local is only 10 minutes away, the Sushi joint near them is also a consideration  How's the weather Matt? Stay safe mate
    • Wideband is worth setting up if only for tuning purposes. I would not mess with the ignition system unless there's a misfire. HKS crank trigger is popular out here for the relatively easily sourced Denso crank sensor, not a bad idea to install as well regardless of power level on a standalone. Boost leak test is worth thinking about. Oil pressure sensor tied to a fuel cut isn't a bad idea either. Getting the tune figured out is a good idea. Without putting eyes on it and getting under it there's no way for us to tell you exactly what it needs but most likely you're down to the last 10% that will make a big, big difference in how happy you are with the car.
