R31 Manual Window Winder Is Stuck...

Hey guys,

I've just picked up an 87 R31 GX. Its got manual windows - and they are stuck, both handle and the glass. I've had a bit of a look - and saw there is a cable hanging out "from the top" which looks to be in the wrong place... any suggestions / information or help greatfully accepted

As much of a pain in the ass as it is, I'd pull the door trim off and have a look so you don't damage anything.

I've pulled it off - thus why I know the cable is hanging out. I have no idea how it works - my previous cars have either had electrics, or an arm type arrangement for the slider. I've never seen one with cables before...
