Duncan, is it an accepted fact that any attempt to increase the front-wheel bias in the R33 and R34 GTR's will cause damage to the transfer case over time?

I mean I assume that the engagement of FWD more often will cause more wear, any idea of how quickly this can occur?

Or how hard a transfer case is to rebuild/replace?

sorry i was a bit short above.

increasing front torque in any of the series 32, 33, 34 isn't a big deal and will make no difference unless you run heaps of front torque all the time. We did manage to burn out a xfer case at Targa Tasmania 2 years ago, but it took a 45klm stage through snow with max front torque to do it. I can't see how you would do it in road use.

what will kill the xfer case of a 33 or 34 is running in rwd only more.
