Remove Hand Brake

hey everyone

i've heard ppl say to remove that to remove the handbrake (the leather part)

u just pull hard..

is that true??? i get scared ... its pretty glued to where it is..

can someone who has removed their handbrakes give me some tips?

wiggle it around first

dont be a girl here, use some force.

as you wiggle it pull outwards towards the front of the car.

do it a few times and it shud come out.

from then onwards it will come on and off quite easy.

got stanley knife? cut along the rubber and pull it out.. then, it gonna leave bare metal.. so, u can put after market one in

yeah, ask a mechanic friend, preferably one who has had experience with skylines.

Big set of stilsons or multigrips will get it off easy

got mine off easy with multigrips it wrecks the old cover though

he just explains how to get the handbrake out not how to get the rubber off the end of the handbrake which is what has to be done if say you want to install a drift button/handbrake sleeve

i have the same problem, i cant seem to get the rubber handle off so i can put a "drift" button on.

seriously if you have got a new cover to go on while your putting the button in it takes about 20 seconds with multigrps to get it off
