Troubled Coils

hey guys,

Gotta problem. Couple of days ago two of my coils packed it in. So now I have a 4 cylinder that I never wanted. lol.

But talkin to my mechanic he suggested that instead of replaing the coils we can change the setup of the system by running leads and double ended coils. Whole setup will cost me about $500.00. Whereas two second hand coils will cost me $200.00. Only thing is it will not look as pretty. Has anyone done this mod or have any suggestions?

Why not just buy two coils if it's cheaper??

Pretty sure its only the two coils. But if coil packs fail in the future I am going to be forever changing the coils. And just wondering bout the advantages and disadvantages of setting up the plugs and coils in a different way

Good idea if you have the money but second hand coils are only tops of $85. Or you could price ACA, C192 coils.

i changed to a different coil set up now every time i lift the bonnet i wish i never did.Stick with the standard system as nissan intended.
