Boost And Timing

i got a

front mount intercooler

Boost Controller

3 1/2 inch exhaust turbo back

Custom H/D Clutch

when i got my exhaust put on a mate did my timing and he advanced it heaps n i was running

8psi, when i wound my boost up to 14psi it ran really quick but i got the timing done properly

and they bought the timing back to about 17 degrees and it just seems to have a huge flat spot

between 4000 and 6000 revs??

does anyone know any good figures for boost and timing?

or know wat could be going on?

you would be better off putting you boost pressure back to 10 psi, as you would be hitting Rich and Retarded mode.

Just wondering, does the r34 have the same rich and retard mode as the 33 & 32?

Please use the search function under "Rich and Retard" and you'll find dozens of threads.

Basically your ECU is having a fit. And also, 14psi will kill your turbo.
