try being black and living around Dandenong area :)

We should spray paint you for 'training purposes'

ahahahahahahhaha.......

:P How will fat and ugly ppl get laid then?

even bigger "ahahahahahahhaha......."

Some of the older cops are nicer though, speak to you like a normal bloke. Some of the newbs are just retards who want to display their phony awesome power over civilians.

mmmm so very true... i find the older cops tend to ask questions first, get their facts right, then book you..... younger and less experienced cops tend to launch at you with thier almightly authority (picture cartman in cop suit LOL)

just the other day i was going through a booze bus, blew my usual 0.00 and waited for the cop to tell me to have a nice day... instead this young arrogant prick preceeded to tell me i wasnt allowed to drive my car because to was too powerful and turbo for P'plates...

i just told him he was incorrect, he then went off at me for talking back, and told me again i wasn't allowed to drive this car, (100% stock aus spec S15 = 147kw/1265kg = 116kw/tonne and ive had my licence since before the turbo pplate laws were introduced so they don't apply to me) ... i told him all those facts and then he got really shitty at me for proving him wrong ... not to mention making him look like a dick for holding up 6 other cars for about 4 minutes, and causing his fellow police officers to come over and inspect the situation, then once i was satisfied that he wasn't going to stand over me with his incorrect bullshit, he finally said in a snooty voice "go on, get out of here!"

that good sir's is why i also disaprove of many victorian police methods of dealing with people

...that said kudo's to the mature wise police who do thier job properly, and make sure they have thier facts 100% correct before they decide to wrongly accuse people, who are just minding thier own business doing the right thing!

hahaha you poor bastard got told off by a piggy. last time i got pulled over i got ripped out of my car, thrown face down on the ground, handcuffed and booted in the back of the head, all because i was a hoon and i refused to pull over, and i was a drug dealer and the leader of al quida but of course when this arrogant f*cks sargent rocked up and saw me with blood pissing out of my face, he was tryin to be ma best friend, and i was let go on the spot....

damn it was funny when i asked the retard for his name and badge number, i'd swear he woulda shot me if no-one else was around, he wouldnt even answer me, his sargent had to tell me

btw i was in an 82 mitsubishi starwagon family van, 1.6 litre, auto, on gas, biggest pig known to man (after cops that is)

happened to be in dandy at the time too..... (im not black tho)

Hey guys

Didnt know my rant will attract such responses but thanks for sharing....

I personally went down to Vicroads today to check on the status of my license

and was told there is no need to convert since im on a temp visa in....

well at least im right and that copper can suck on it....

I didnt do anything wrong last night, eventhough hes doing his job, the least he could do was to be polite

Have a safe Xmas fellas, these cops are itching for action....

Cheers

Cops are ......... people.

There some great people and some not so great people is all professions.

All because some people have had a bad experience with cops does not mean all cops are bad. Have you had dealings with every single cop in Victoria?

Sure there are some F#$K wit cops on a power trip. There are also other cops who are really trying to do the right thing.

Me and my friend used to have heaps of trouble with cops when we where younger (sometime we were asking for it, other time the cops were being pricks)

I started working and got a lift to work every day with an ex-cop, and he opened my eye's a little. He was the first person to admit that there were some truly crappy people that were cops, but some of the most decent people he had ever met in his life were also cops.

I have since been much more respectful to cops and hey presto never had a problem with them since, even when I got busted for drink driving I was respectful and they where actually very nice people, just doing their job. We had a chat about cop cars etc.

So grow up a drop your prejudge.

If you are looking for a bad guy, you'll usual find one.

Cheers

    • It's weird to me that you say this because I'm pretty sure locals with relatively standard standalone tunes (boost/barometric compensated alpha-N) still have driveability issues when they pop intercooler hoses. Maybe with enough data I can just train some kind of model that spits out an expected grams/cyl given every sensor input except MAF like what FCA did with their Pentastar 3.6 ECU logic. Basically stock everything. The main motivation honestly is to have a sensor that can be a decent baseline source of truth. In scenarios you're describing obviously it won't work every time but it seems to me the number of corner cases that exist in MAF load is maybe not as severe and difficult to manage vs ITB alpha-N with some MAP/barometric compensation.
    • What are your plans for your blow off valves? Purely plumb back? How soft will the spring in them be? AFM can be tricky to get super smooth and nice, especially depending on the rest of the system, and then can be very easily upset if something slightly changes. IE, even if you run recirc blow off valves, you could still see issues getting it to behave at certain load points as turbos might start to spool, but you release the throttle but it's not enough pressure to crack the bov open to recirc, and you can end up with reversion which can cause double metering, and hence dumping of fuel into the system, and stalling the engine.   If you're going to run a map sensor for closed loop boost control from the ECU, what makes you want to keep the AFM?
    • It's not bad, it's just not flexible. And say if you have any leaks between the MAF and plenum, well then your load axis goes out the window. Here's a real world scenario, I blew off an intercooler hose last track day, as the clamp decided to Bluetooth itself somewhere. Still continued to do 2 laps and drive it to the pub for a couple of beers then home. Good luck doing that with a MAF setup
    • Is MAF load really that bad? I'm not trying to do big power, my only real desire is VCAM and flex fuel support so I'm not terrified of blowing my engine apart from CA's appalling 95 RON "premium" fuel. Stuff like playing with closed loop boost control and really dialing in my transient fueling and ignition are frankly just to prove to myself I remembered something from uni.
    • Thats what ive been doing. Ive got a million questions but i know theyve probably all been answered before at some stage. Todays research included nismo heritage seat covers, s3 projector headlight retrofits and how to remove/paint the rocker covers
