Then you win, dont ask me what, but you just win.

Get an old 86 mazda 323. I had one of them and drove it off mount dandenong. Still drove it home after. If thats not suited for offroad i dont know what is :P

My neighbour when I was growing up had one of those minus the seamless cut n shut job! Brown with a stripe down the side, was a wagon. Forever breaking down and held about as much street cred with us kids as coloured tassles on the end of a boys bike.

The Lada Riva :P

I've had a lada, not a bad car, defineatley not a good car somewhere inbetween.lol. Sold it to a freind and he had trouble galore. The family car is now a 62 series landcruiser and is much much better as an off road and reliable vehicle, and they are relativeley cheap these days.

all u need is a pack of huskies and a whip

mush mush

I've got two of these as well.lol.

Obviously James have a bad taste,

There are other COOL RUSSIANs like MEET YOUR RUSSIAN BRIDE ahahaha.

* sigh

You all f*cking loved the stupid cars. Admit it.

Hands up if you won a trophy at AutoSalon....

Anyone?

Main thing to check is drive-line - ensure there are no vibrations over 80km/h from the transfer case. They sometimes fall out of alignment.

Engines are good, but do need to be taken care of (warm them up, change oil every 5,000km etc) - and being Fiats, they love to be revved.

Make sure the window winders work too - they are a bitch to fix.

Best mod you can do is tyres - stud pattern is the same as Vitara, Sierra, Rocksta, F100 and Jeep TJ - so there are lots of second hand rim options available.

Good and cheap to buy, run and fix.

Lots of spares available through Fiat, Lancia and Lada parts suppliers.

I must admit.

I "teh lada" a number of times, it might not go fast, it might be f*ken FREEZING inside. But it never missed a beat... except that one time we had to push it across the road on Richmond LOL
