Oil Temp

hey all im new to owning a skyline, im just wondering what oil temp should be at when your racing/drifting mine sits bout 80-90 on normal drivin but when i go hard it goes closer to 100, what should i let it go up? cheers

Engine oil needs to get to 100 degrees C to boil off any build up of condensation. What you are seeing, 80 to 105, is quite normal.

My car has yet to get above 85 degrees, I think it hit 90 degrees once but it does have a large aftermarket radiator. I'm running a 5w40 oil.

Have pushed it hard but not for a very long amount of time.

Does this sound normal?

On a track like Sandown my oil gets upto 120C it would probably get hotter but thats my cue to come off.

yes. normal driving without a cooler it sits about 10 degrees hotter than the coolant. on the track 120-130 is fairly normal. not good but yeah. common

look at the specs for the car dude

and dnt be cheap n get a cooler

Sounds normal to me. The only time i get high oil temp is on the track.
