Hi ppl,

I have some items from japan being held at custom. I am looking around yellowpages and I dont know who I should use as my custom broker.

Could anyone please recommend one? How much would it cost for the service? This is my first time doing this, so wouldnt have a clue.

And Yes, I have use search function but nothing really specifically address my question.

Thanks

umm..

you don't need a broker, custom will contact you if they require you to play tax, if not custom will check it over and if everything is ok you should get it within a week or so just depends how long custom wants to hold it for or how busy they are... i had one item held for about 2weeks they must have just been busy..

Thanks for the input [Michael]

They sent me some forms to fill up...but they require me to register to get a Declaration ID (for example: ABN, CCID (custom client identification ID), or Client activity Centre No. (CAC)) first...

is that the normal procedure?

The items all add up more than A$1000...

also, can i just go to the custom office and settle everything down over there and collect my items? Anyone know where is the office? tried to look at their website but nothing much there.

did you get a registering as a member form (something like that), if so fill that out and fill it out for the supplier, and with the declaration dont neet to worry about the abn ccid etc. you can fill out the registering form on the behalf of the supplier. with the supplier just fill out all you know, with mine one did i just put down a name and e mail. also it will help if you give them reciet of your purchase and proof of payment and also your ID like you drivers license.

if need any help just ask i just done mine for my bride seats, got mine off greenline

i know all my items which were stop in custom where over in Melbourne, never in perth.

as flash89 said proof of amount paid on the item is important, if you paid by bank transfer go to the bank and get a transcript of the transaction. As they may (i can't remember) ask you to prove the amounted paid is the amount of the ems form. OR most likly it just you have to pay tax as the order was over $1000

also i just just reading over again you said that if all the items add up to $1000, thought it was only if one item was over $1000 that you might have to pay dutys etc

if you have all the items ship together, then i believe its the total value of all the items

I have my items shipped separately (each item has their own article number/tracking number).

also, the sender actually marked them as gift.

One of the items has actually been delivered. The rest were held in the custom

    • Thank you all for you assistance. I contacted Nistune regarding the support for the RB20DE along with my ECU Code (23710-10U00). They do have a map for it and added the RB20DE as a purchasable option now as well. They also added Malta as a Billing and Delivery options as this was missing. I was honestly amazed at their quick response and action, it took less than 24 hours. I also looked again at direct fit options for injectors, just in case I were to replace them. DeatschWerks seem to use a Bosch EV14 base and makes ones that fit mine at 440cc lowest, but also have 550cc at the same price. I tried looking for other direct fit options and managed to find one (also Bosch EV14 based) which includes a plug and play adapter on ebay. Did a small test with a Noid Light on the troubled injectors and all seems good, so they are pulsing properly electrically. One weird part is that they are missing on the same two cylinders as before I got the injectors cleaned. Mechanic also found this weird as he did not label the injectors and it is unlikely to have the faulty injectors be installed in the same cylinders.
    • Nice, let me know how you find the 98 tune
    • Put a hand on an injector and see if that's what the buzzing is. You might be triggering the injectors by moving off idle command.
    • Ah, should have been clearer. Currently has a flex sensor installed all good to go.    like u mentioned, I’ve only ever known the car on e85, I might hate 98, but I have to try it out first. Everyone says the -5 turbos get pretty laggy on 98 octane tho…
    • Duncan , the plan is to get the down pipes done then I book it in for the full tune . Most likely late May , that's the plan.
