howdy folks,

lookin at pickin myself up a celsior in the next few days.

just wondering what alarm system youd recomend? ive heard alot of good about mongoose systems, but i dont know a damn thing about alarms, now which one would be best.

so any suggestions/advice and whatever else you could think of would be great.

also, who would be best to use to supply and install it in sa?

thanks,

dave.

I would highly recommend a Rhino. i have had these in two of my cars now.And they are better than anything I have used in the past. They dont cost the earth either.Remote has massive distance, You can walk down the street and arm it.! I even lost my car once in a westfield carpark, pressed the reomte a few times to hear the Beep Beep. Yes I heard the Beep Beep alright, But the car was parked 2 floors above me...! They got a few good features too....look into one of them...I dont think you will be disappointed

i just picked up a fusion one and im really happy with it.

it may not be a big brand in the alarm side of things but it has some cool features

eg:

- button that maks it beep when in a carpark so you can find it easily

- locks and unlocks BOTH my doors (last one only locked drivers door)

- has a knock sensor so it beeps if people lean on your car (i personally dont like people leaning on mine so i like this feature)

- good range for the remote (about 50 metres)

plus it only cost me $150

i went to deerings autotronics as it has a good rep.

they charged me $170 to install it, bit pricey but they did a good job.
