HAs anyone else gone through the exercise of ringing around and getting prices on storage garages around Melb?

Im over my place looking like a car parts shed and storage place for my sisters shit for when she moved to England.

So anyone know if one place is better then another...is it worth going out of the Melb area, do they get cheaper further out of the city?

Further out is cheaper from what ive found

But that could more have been different companies than anything

Its really hard to workout how much room you need, best to go down there and see it in person is what i found

I looked into it about 3-4 years ago... but then just ended up using a mates shed :)

I'm pretty sure Kennards has fixed pricing.

The cost isn't too bad for a smallish storage shed, my best mate was using one a little while ago, can't remember how much it was though.

I looked into car storage about a year ago now, and they charge like $200 a month :D

Storage King on Nepean Hwy behind Office Works at Moorabbin. We put all our stuff in when went to the UK for a year, not sure how much it is but we still have some bits in there. Will let you know mate :)

Fry's self storage in Bayswater is probably the cheapest in melbourne. 5.6 cubic m lock up storage for $55 a month. 11.2 cubic m for $100 a month. 16.8 cubic m for $125 a month.

Bris, I used kennards in oakleigh a while ago and all was good.

One thing I'd point out is insurance....if you want your stuff properly covered then I believe you have to put it under your own house and contents policy....don't take this as gospel though, just ask the questions.

lol, so this is what we've come to eh bris?

once you've put all your crap in storage, can I store some of my gear at your place? only need about 30 or 40 m2 for now, don't sweat.
