I sort of got presured into a sale, in that instant tho I knew it would be best to put conditions on the sale as when they started it they had to jump start it.. already meant it had been sitting a long time.

Drove like crap too.. you learn I got my cash back after I faxed them a copy of the report, they basically listed the car as crap.

fair trading instructed me I was in the wrong as in the conditions all I said was "pending inspection of vehicle" and they said the conditions had not been clear enough and in future I had to say something like "pending inspection of vehicle where the customer was happy with outcome of inspection, if not contract will be terminated and money refunded" so next time ill take a lawyer :S

Figjam, in the past businesses that have been named in a negative light have threatened to sue the forum's owner. regardless of whether threads like these are correct, factual etc etc or not we now do not allow the business to be named to make sure christian doesn't spend his life hiring lawyers.

feel free to post positive or negative experiences, just don't openly name the business if it was negative.

Hey

i got my R33 from these guys and they are cool and there cars seem topshelf to me.

maybe abit pricey (they will bargin), but you only get what you pay for.

parra rd is dodgy at the best of times, for anything.

thats my 2 cents

These guys are dodgy. They tried to get me to buy an r32 with scratches all over it saying 'but its original paint'. Had few minor dents too. He said he would get a sunroof and everthing i wanted installed if i put a deposit down. He had me there for about 45mins trying to sell me a car. I gave him unrealistic demands he was trying to meet but couldnt. I have to say, if he got me a r32 gtr for $14,000 ,i would have taken it. The place where i actually got my car from (on parra rd too) wasnt much better, but they had the car i wanted so i had to deal with the devil to get it. When they said its the cleanest you will find, they were right in this instance, lol.

I second what Rio had to say. We get what we paid for sometimes.

I also purchased my car from NSP and paid a little more but I'm still happy about the car.

Damn I do need new headlights....if you know anyone with a pair!

=D that's where I went too, great fellas.

if you want to know the name of the place, PM the thread starter. if you want to try and subvert the rules by all means do it but you will end up with a temp ban again. d'oh.

All that i have to say that the salesman who delt with me was shonty. He pressured me into buying one of the cars like crazy and wouldnt even let me drive it back to the dealership without me first putting down a "lazy hundred". the dealer made me sign what i thought was a holding deposit slip but turned out to be a contract of saleship. the salesman's name was <REMOVED>.

Was he holding a gun to your head?

No one can pressure you into anything. It'll be ok, pumpkin. I'm here for you. Hugz?

Really?

I wouldn't.

It'll last a few weeks, maybe a month and u're in for a rebuild.

If you're going to buy a 32 gtr, spend the extra and get a rebuilt one to save yourself the pain/hassles. Otherwise you're just digging a hole and jumping head first into it. (im experienced at this).

    • Everything I found online said never use it because it'll dramatically reduce belt lifespan.  No, but I have seen excessive v-belt tension cause the audible bearing noise from excessive radial load in things like alternators. So don't overdo it. Ideally you set it to manufacturer spec using a proper belt tension guage. I tried the "clicker" type gauges but those cheap things are trash. They read way too low even when you're careful.
    • This is kind of where I've ended up for the most part. It's easier for me, easier for shops that don't have to deal with my weird criteria/picky standards, etc.
    • Will do. Suprised if it's not the starter motor considering it's 30 years old. Will get a volt meter though. Battery is close to new.   Cheers for your help, always appreciated.
    • This almost never happens these days. No. Clean your battery terminals and make sure they are tight. Use sandpaper on a dowel if you have to, to get oxidation off the inside of the terminals, particularly on the -ve. Check the earth cable from battery post to chassis ground and engine ground. Make sure the contact surfaces are clean - including the threads on the bolts that anchor them - because that's where a lot of the contact occurs. Wire wheel on a drill is a good thing for this. Make sure the crimps on those cables are all sound. Assuming none of that causes an improvement: Check the battery voltage after it has been resting for a while. If it's at the lower end of the range, put it on charge for a while, then see if it will crank better.
    • I just checked my belt, it wasn't super loose but I could bend it past 90 degrees a small amount so I tightened it up and for the first time ever my car didn't crank first time, had to crank it again lol. Don't know if that was because I tightened the belt or if it's my starter motor going out (been having slow starts for some time). Coulda also been when I was recording I didn't crank the key properly and it didn't save the recording lol.   Is that a thing if you overtighten a belt it struggles to start?
