Painting In The Engine Bay

G'day

I'm thinking it's time to splash some paint in the engine bay, namely coil pack cover and ?timing belt? cover

I don't want to jump ahead and rip the timing sensor off though, because I'm thinking it may be a pain in the arse to put back on

Methods/Ideas? Is it easy enough to do?

rocker cover is easy to do just pull it off. as for timeing gear cover i dont know post up some pics so we can see whats going on as i dont have a 33

It is the 'bog standard' rb25det as it were. It's just the timing sensor and black belt cover it's sitting on that I'm worried about

just set it back to close to where it is at the moment, then get the timming reset by a mechanic to 15btdc for manual and 20btdc for auto

its only 3 bolts so not too tricky.

You need to either mark the CAS with tippex or something so it goes back on EXACTLY as it comes off. Or get someone with a Blazt cable and datascan to help, as you can adjust the CAS and see the changes realtime in Datascan.
