What Oil Filter To Use With Hks Oil Cooler Kit?

Hi,

I'm after some information about what oil filter to use with the hks type r oil cooler kit, which comes with a remote oil filter mount. As the stock oil filter looks to large to screw into the remote mount. also the length of the stock oil filter looks to large, ATM there is some j-spec brand oil filter on it which looks very small in width and length.

any help would be great

Could be a sr series, there are 2 types. Or a vq which is a z442 or 445 cant remember

i had the same problem finding a filter mate but there is a ryco one that fits fine. I cant remember the code but im back in melbourne tomorrow, ill find it and post it up for you.

yeah its 442. same thread but smaller (shorter) than the standard one. 442 is a generic part# most places will have one from some brand on the shelf.

so what car is it from? and can i get one from nissan? don't like generic oil filters prefer geniune nissan filter

Ok mate found the filter.

Repco ROF-21, can also use Z386
