Thanks for all the great replies.

I've personally not seen Water temp issues anywhere near as bad as mine while driving other R34's and other GTR's on the track, so I was suspecting there was a more fundamental issue with my car, such as a head gasket leak.

It sounds like a good idea to get the coolant checked to see if there's any combustion gases in it, so I'll enquire into getting that done.

The big aftermarket IC was on the car when I got it, but I have the original one so can arrange to get it put back on.

I'm definitely happy to install an Oil Cooler, I just wanted to make sure everything is working correctly.

A few simple, checks take 10 minutes;

Do you have to fill the radiator up with water often?

Is there rust on the spark plugs?

Are their bubbles appearing in the radiator header tank at idle?

Is there water in the oil?

Is there oil in the water?

If the answer is no to all of the above, then I doubt it's a head gasket.

Cheers
