I dun think he said a word the whole time until he stopped!

LOL youd thunk having an F! driver as a husband youd be used to speed and going from A to B at warp speed.

This vid belongs in the "Skylines pick up chicks" thread as well...

I loved it when she called him a mother f**ker. That was proiceless.

Max Mosley said he would like to see each Formula One team use the same engine.

The FIA President told the French sports daily L'Equipe that the move to a common engine would put a lid on costs and also make F1 teams' research more road-relevant.

Mosley, calling teams' current spending on technology "irrational," also said Wednesday he is in favour of the introduction of standard suspensions and gearboxes.

F1 teams are currently in the midst of a mandatory 'freeze' on engine development, with some like Renault complaining that they have fallen behind as their rivals sidestep the spirit of the rules.

"It is not conceivable that we are penalised for another three years," said team boss Flavio Briatore, who is campaigning for a remedy to the situation.

"We will discuss it in FOTA and look for a solution," he confirmed to the Spanish sports daily Marca.

c0ck

F1 could race on honda step thru postie bikes as that would rein in costs and really advance the relevance in the real world since all our lives are touched by postmen and post women.

f**k ROAD RELEVANCE! THIS IS F1!

I'm so sick of this shit. It's their f**king money and if they choose to spend it on whatever to better their team then so f**king be it. If you don't have the money to cut it in F1, then move over and let someone who does play with the big boys while you go and race go karts.

Or lets just go and watch NASCAR...

f**king wierd. there are plenty of controlled formulas out there but f1 is the last place that should be.

I say ditch all the rules except it must be a vehicle that remains in full contact with the road at all times, and can only be driven by power applied through the tyres, and must meet crash standards. Lets see some interesting cars and lateral thinking again. got a 6 wheel car with fan driven aero anyone?

....

Look what the bastards did to Ken Tyrrell...

I swear the FIA and those utter mongrels sent him to an early grave.

I watched a docco on KT and Brundle went on record to say he knew it was 100% political that Tyrrell was force out of F1 over that bullshit "ballast in the tank" assery...

Gee, anyone care to ring a bell over the "spy saga"?

f**k the FIA.

Mosley can rot in hell for all i care.

Not a Mosley fan at all...

I was gutted he won the vote...

I'm all for making it better for the small teams to punch above their weight. For example, points down to 8th, more partial and fair spread of commercial funding, not having 20 different compounds of tyres.. However, I agree, F1 is so plain and boring, going back to slicks is a small step, I agree, no more radical or lateral thinking... It is a bland as batsh*t....

Enlighten me btw... Ballast in the tank?? Tyrrell??? Do tell...

Yeah...

Read this utter disgrace on F1 at the cost if Ken Tyrrell, his team and all that F1 stood for.

You may think after reading for a bit that it was justified but read past that.

The FIA is a joke and has been even preceding 1984.

Makes me want to puke the late dinner i ate an hour ago.

KT was in the sport for 35 years...

60's and 70's were his heyday, 80's and 90's were a plain political minefield not suited to a guy who had F1 as a passion - centre to his being - and being undutifully stamped out by the beauracracy...

Yeah yeah I know who Ken Tyrrell was, I remember seing pictures of the six wheeler when I was a kid, who piloted it??? Was it Patrick Depailler??? Just after JYS days ey??

It was a shame seing him fold when he did and under those circumstances, I wonder which members at Honda have lasted from the 90's Tyrrell team?? Forti was another such team, and I reckon F1 is much less without Arrrows, I loved that post 2000 Arrows, Orange, Chello, Lost Boys, Eurobet, loved the black and orange colour, looks awesome...

Thought I better chuck this in here too.

for a laugh.

    • Yep, that was one of the things we learned fast in the past with our MX5. When you drive with the top down, you are effectively standing out in the sun, 100% of the time, and not getting in any shade (because roads aren't shaded generally!). Just like standing out in the middle of a field on a sunny 27C day is a bit of a bad plan, so is sitting in a MX5 without sun protection.
    • I also just ordered some Frankenstein bolts and side mounts to fit a hard top Just in case I do find one, basically so it doesn't need to be fixed to the car with only the front latch.......and then gaffa tape to keep it in place for the RTN journey from wherever I get it
    • If your temps are fine now, you probably won't have any issues with where your vents are as they don't look right up at the windscreens high pressure area, so any differences when giving it the beans for extended happy laps would be minimal, but, they should vent heaps when stuck in traffic  Much like how that reverse cowl on my SS let "visible" heat out when stationary, but, because it was basically at the windscreen my coolant temps on the Hwy actually raised because air was being fed into it at speed (110kph), to only come back down to around 90° when I got off the Hwy And your 100% correct about the NC currently not needing vents, but, if I was to add a turbo, and a oil cooler and intercooler in front of the condenserand radiator, and then take it to the track???? It is apparently a recommend requirement if I don't want to worry about coolant or oil temp issues, but, any of the above are possible scenarios, over time As it sits now, with the triple pass radiator and stock air conditioning system, I have absolutely no issues with either temps or air conditioning efficiency, I've been basically daily driving thie car for the last month, both on the Hwy, and peak hour, bumper to bumper traffic, but, that's pretty much expected from basically a standard engine  Talking about no issues daily driving, it was 39° the other day and I was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the M5 and then M7, with the top down, and with the air conditioning blowing nice cold air on my feet, balls, and face, well, there was one issue, my head and arms got pretty sun burnt Note to self: leave a hat and sunscreen in the car for such days 🤣
    • I would agree, unless you need something specific to the HV motor/battery side repaired or investigated, any mechanic will be able to perform normal services, but if you prefer, maybe look for a mechanic who regularly services/repairs Nissans, the VQ engines are pretty common in the Nissan lineup.  Sorry, I can't make any suggestions, I don't live in Vic.
    • Some of them keep working fine. 9 out of 10 of them end up causing an absolute misery bleeding the system and get thrown on the workshop floor in a tantrum and never thought about again because they were never really needed and just added crap to the car that we could have done without. Same-same with HICAS, A-LSD, and various other stupidities that over eager 10x engineers thought we had to have.
