Rb26 Build Nearly Finished

Just about finished my motor,

due to some unforseen events my motor blew only 12 hours after i bought .... 2 years later and a lot of money spent my motor is sitting on the engine builders bench waiting for all the ancilliaries to be bolted back on

Turbos? what do i need to do when bolting my babies back on, do i need to run any water or oil through the turbo before first start up, or will primiing the motor be enough?

anything else i should think about when it comes to getting the motor back in ?

any tricks to it?

You could prime the turbos with oil if you really wanted too.But i would just bolt them on,crank the car a few times(without starting it)just so the oil pump has some pressure in it.

You're not running the stock turbos on a rebuilt motor are you?

I normally just crank the motor till it has oil pressure .but I also run a little oil into turbo on assembling

nah no chance in hell i am running stock turbos after i have spent all my cash and lost so much hair working out what parts to buy and not to buy

ended up deciding on 2860r-5's as i figure they have the best tuning potenial down the track. not sure how they will fair with larger valves but stock cams,ecu, and injectors but time will tell.

any other suggestions with the rest of the car?

dont take it to the track!! is my advice unless other mods have been carried out. would hate to see you blow your new motor!

allways run your oil level over full.
